Located on U.S. Route 66 as you enter Wilminton Il.
I have passed this landmark many times but today is the first
time I actually stopped to photograph him. He stands over 30' tall.
The Launching Pad is a small road side restaurant that now appears to be closed.
But is still listed on the Route 66 business and attractions web site.
