Reno is supposed to have record breaking heat this weekend

going upto 108.

No Thank You!

So we moved on to South Lake Tahoe in California

much nicer. High this weekend 87 and beautiful blue skys.

Most of the day today was spent driving

 through Nevada trying to get into California.

We looked on line from our Ipad in search

 of some where to spend the night.

we chose forgot to mention one small

thing.

Good Morning

Directly behind me is a beautiful mountain range.

But of course the sun DID NOT come up over there.

I'll keep trying after all I still have 30 days left :)

Super Moon 2013

Quiet honestly I don't see that big of a difference from the full moon

I captured last month.

Well maybe its turned a little differently and

this one was taken in Wyoming.

( Technically this image was taken on Monday morning.

The night sky was so cloudy I could not get a good image.

 Soooo I got up at 4:30 and was able to capture this one.)

We spent a few hours at Mt Rushmore today.

Amazing sight to see in real life.

Welcome Traveler

While being typical tourists today we stumbled upon

this cute little "church".  Actually it was just a long narrow

room. I found it to be very serene among all the souvenir shops.

Day One

We did 420 miles today.

Settling in for the night just out side of

Omaha Nebraska.

Something Different

Since I spent most of the day running around preparing for our

road trip. I didn't get my picture till late. I decided to photograph

my Hydrangea bush that has just started to bloom.

I went with an  F16  "just because"

 I usually go with a much lower Fstop

 but I felt like I wanted to get the feel

of the whole bush instead of just a single flower.

Since it was dusk I had to bump up my ISO to 4000.

Oh Yeah.....Today's my 35th wedding anniversary!

This shot was taken on our honeymoon in the Bahamas.

In celebration starting Wednesday we are taking a

35 day road trip out west.

I can't wait!
